On December 2, parking tariffs will increase for a number of streets in Moscow’s center. On some streets of the Boulevard Ring, parking will cost 50 rubles for the first half hour, and then 150 rubles per hour (now – 80). Inside the Garden Ring, the first hour will cost 60 rubles, then 100 rubles per hour (now – 60). Parking within the Third Ring Road will cost up to 60 rubles per hour (now – 40).
The initiative is explained by the fact that parking in the city center is loaded by more than 90 percent, which provokes drivers to break the rules.
