Upon visiting Arbat Street, I was quite fond of Moscow’s Crazy Toilet when it opened. The food was pretty good and affordable, despite being designed to look like human waste and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I guess the only thing I found mildly annoying was locating the restroom—despite there being toilets everywhere.
None of that matters now.
SpongeBob fans rejoice! Crazy Toilet has been transformed into a real-life version of a Krusty Krab café and the positive reviews are pouring in.
“Pizza – one of the most delicious I have ever tasted, 4 cheese with walnuts – very, very good!” wrote a satisfied customer on the café’s VK page.
“Super place! Even before the trip to Moscow, I found out about it and was eager to visit it! I was not disappointed. The interior is great, everything is colorful and interesting. The waiters are also great! Friendly, dressed in funny clothes, in general, a continuous positive!” wrote another.
The renovated eatery, which is owned and operated by the greedy Mr. Krabs in the animated series, features ship barrels instead of chairs and serves SpongeBob’s favorite food, Krabby Patty burgers.
But while the character’s workplace is situated under the sea in the cartoon, this Krusty Krab is planted firmly on land, located at 4 Arbat Street (ул. Арбат, 4) with a welcoming SpongeBob statue stationed out front.
The official website for the restaurant promises customers the chance to meet Spongebob himself as well as his partner Squidward—so be sure to bring your kids!
