The famous American tattoo-artist Scott Campbell, who has beautified the bodies of Courtney Love, Robert Downey Jr., Penelope Cruz and Marc Jacobs with his works, is bringing the sensational project Whole Glory to Moscow for the first time.
Whole Glory is an alternative form of cooperation between the tattoo artist and the model, which implies that the artist will work while absolutely blind. Scott doesn’t meet the person in advance, does not discuss the idea of the future tattoo, doesn’t show a sketch, and doesn’t even see the model during the process–they are separated by a wall. The model inserts his arm into the hole in the wall, trusting his/her forearm to the imagination and will of the master. To see a new tattoo will be possible only after it’s done.
The show will take place on the territory of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. Read more about how to become a participant or a spectator of the project on the event’s page on Facebook.
